Joe Alexander, a native of Ohio, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY in 1970 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army.
Mr. Alexander retired from the Army in 1992 and joined Camber Corporation, which at that time was a small Government services company with about 40 employees. In 1999, he became the President of Camber Corporation. He successfully led Camber through several major organizational and structural changes as Camber grew.
Mr. Alexander retired from Camber Corporation in 2012 to pursue other interests. He formed Alexander Consulting, LLC as a means of being able to help small and mid-sized businesses become more successful. Mr. Alexander supports these companies by serving on their respective Boards as a Director or supporting their activities as an advisor or a business management consultant. He also freely donates his time by mentoring young professionals.
In addition, he is a Lifetime Member of the Association of the United States Army, the Military Officers Association of America, the West Point Association of Graduates, and the Ohio State Alumni Association. For over 10 years, Mr. Alexander served in various Board Chair positions for both the Leadership Greater Huntsville organization and the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville culminating in serving as Chairman of the Board for both organizations.
