Ignite Celebrates Yolanda Wright’s Contribution to Texas Women Veterans Day
Houston, TX – Ignite is proud to spotlight Yolanda Wright, an outstanding Sub-System Logistics Engineer, for her contribution to the Annual Texas Women Veterans Day event held at Houston City Hall.
Yolanda recently served on the committee for the Annual Texas Women Veterans Day. In this role, she had the honor of meeting and escorting Ms. Helen Lipman, a distinguished United States Navy veteran and one of this year’s honorees. This year’s honorees ranged between the ages of 72 – 103 years old!
In 2017, the Texas Legislature passed the Women Veterans Day Bill, designating June 12th as a state-recognized day to honor women veterans. Texas proudly boasts the largest number of women veterans in the nation. Since its inception, Women Veterans Day ceremonies have been held annually to recognize and celebrate the service and sacrifices of these remarkable women.
