A Journey of Resilience and Leadership

Clayton Hinchman’s story is nothing short of inspiring. In this interview, he opens up about his deep-rooted passion to serve his country, what lead him to combat, and ultimately how the obstacles he faced shaped his leadership style and approach to business. From facing the intensity of the battlefield to strategic decisions made in the boardroom, Clayton’s story is a testament to resilience and determination.

Overcoming Challenges in Combat

During his military service, Hinchman accomplished quite a lot. In the interview, Clayton discusses the day he knew he wanted to fight for his country, September 11th, 2001. Hinchman was in New York city and witnessed the dreadful attack the Country will never forget. While serving, he joined the infantry officer basic, ranger, and airborne school. On May 10th, 2007, his life as he once knew it changed forever. Hinchman stepped on an IED which resulted in the loss of his leg, ultimately ending his career in the Army.

Igniting the Impossible

After getting injured and becoming “service-disabled,” Hinchman was determined to stay in the fight. Clayton started his own company and eventually sold it to what is now called Ignite, where he acts as both Chairman and CEO. Clayton and his Ignite team are dedicated to Igniting the Impossible for their customers every day.
