December 10, 2025 –
This Warfighter Wednesday, we’re shining the spotlight on Ignite Electronic Warfare (EW) Subject Matter Expert (SME), Brian Savary.
Mr. Savary recently retired from the United States Navy, after serving for over 22 years. During those two decades, Brian worked as an Electronic Warfare (EW) Specialist, using electronic signals to protect U.S. forces and ultimately enable mission success. Brians’ expertise and experience working with these systems make him the perfect fit for Ignite as we are continuing to advance our EW and Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) capabilities.
Lessons from Service
When asked what inspired him to join the military, Brian stated his grandfather was a huge influence. He started having conversations with Brian at a young age about the amazing benefits that come with serving in the U.S. military.

“Being a Warfighter meant being part of something greater than myself”
Being a warfighter meant sacrifice to Brian, protecting those who can’t protect themselves. “Being a Warfighter meant being a part of something greater than myself” Savary stated. “Standing shoulder to shoulder with people who become family and choosing duty over comfort.”
“It meant showing up every day with discipline, integrity, and the mindset that failure is never an option.“
Brian’s many years of service taught him valuable lessons that he translates to his work today. Discipline, Mission Focus, Adaptability, and Teamwork are of the many skills he acquired in the Navy.
Continuing the Mission

“What does being a part of a Warfighter Focused, Warfighter Led company mean to you?”
Ignite is committed to advancing and helping the Warfighter in many ways, and a huge part of keeping that strong is through hiring Veterans, like Brian, who know what that have a deeper knowledge and understand of what that entails.
Brian stated,
“It means working in an environment that understands the mission at its core – not in theory, but through lived experience.”
Empowering people on the front lines with better tools, better technology, and better support are top priority for Brian. His work ultimately ensures Warfighters can operate with confidence and return home safely.
Advice for Those still Serving or Transitioning
“Use every opportunity to learn, get certified, and develop skills beyond your Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). When it’s time to transition, don’t undersell your experience – military discipline, leadership, and problem-solving are unmatched assets in the civilian world.”
“Most importantly, stay connected to your network; the people you served with are lifelong allies.”
Brian’s Favorite Motto:
Honor, Courage, Commitment
The Navy’s core values.
