What’s a Moment from Your Service That Stands Out to You?

“One mission that stays with me was my assignment as an Observer/Controller at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin. During my time there, I witnessed firsthand the incredible tenacity, skill, and teamwork required to get the job done. It was powerful to see Warfighters across every level—strategic, operational, and tactical—turning their failures into successful outcomes through sheer persistence and a willingness to learn.”

Personal Connections

Phillip comes from a family with deep military roots; both his father and grandfather served, and he spent his childhood growing up on various bases across the globe.

“I always knew my path. Having grown up learning the intricacies of telephony and network communications from my grandfather and father, joining the military to carry on that legacy was a natural progression for me.”

Lessons & Values

“Being a Warfighter is rooted in a profound sense of selfless service.”

Phillip didn’t spend his time in uniform in search of self-advancement.

“I served for the benefit of those standing to my left and right.”

Transition to Ignite

How Did your Military Experience Prepare you for your Role at Ignite?

“The technical proficiency and comprehensive understanding of Army operations I acquired allow me to perceive the broader strategic landscape for our customers, enabling me to provide guidance that ensures their long-term success.”

Phillip credits his Army career for instilling in him a proactive commitment to mission accomplishment—providing support whenever necessary to ensure the objective is met.

What Does Being Part of a Warfighter Focused, Warfighter Led Company Mean to you?

“Our end users are never merely abstract concepts; rather, they are our brothers and sisters-in-arms. It signifies a profound responsibility where the success of those still in uniform depends entirely upon the integrity and quality of the work we deliver.”

Advice to Those Currently Serving:

My best advice is to truly embrace every moment. Your time in service is finite, and once it concludes, you will inevitably find yourself missing the unique experiences and camaraderie that are difficult to replicate.”

We’re honored to work alongside you, Phillip!
